The Castaways of Turtle Island (1976) follows the escapades of Bonaventure (Pierre Richard), a travel agent with a penchant for embellishing his romantic conquests to impress his colleagues. One fateful evening, he crosses paths with a woman who shares the name of one of his fictional paramours, leading to an authentic one-night stand. Inspired by this encounter, Bonaventure devises an innovative tour package: a temporary stay on an untouched island where participants must fend for themselves, channeling their inner Robinson Crusoe.
