Sodrásban (1964) unfolds on a scorching summer day when a group of eight young individuals—six males and two females—gather at a beach adjacent to a deep river. After some time, they decide to take a dip in the water. One of the boys suggests diving to the riverbed, which is 8 meters deep, and retrieving a handful of clay as evidence of their daring feat. The others eagerly follow suit. Once back on shore, one of the girls suddenly realizes that Gabi is missing. As they realize no one saw him resurface, concern sets in. Gabi's belongings remain on the beach, prompting a frantic search along the riverbanks and in the water. Eventually, they are forced to call the police, who commence a dragging operation of the river. The body is not immediately found, and over the next few days, Gabi's friends exhibit varied reactions to his disappearance. Some are left with unresolved issues, while others begin to forget his face. On the third day, the body is finally recovered.
