Happy Hour (2015) follows H.C., a man in his mid-forties who is devastated after his wife leaves him, leaving him with only his excess weight and his two childhood friends, Wolfgang and Nic. Wolfgang, a psychologist with a unique approach ('I’d have just decked the old slag'), suggests that H.C. needs to assert himself and learn to say "NO." He invites H.C. on a short vacation to his cottage in Ireland, a place where life is raw and free, filled with cows, Guinness, rain, whiskey, and more Guinness. The trip is meant to be a place for H.C. to reconnect with his youth, fish, get drunk, and chop wood naked. However, beneath the surface, the facade of their friendship begins to crumble, raising the question: What is true friendship?
