One of These Days (2020) unfolds in a quaint Texan town where an annual tradition, the "Hands on a Hardbody" contest, brings the community together. Organized by a local car dealer, the competition sees participants, chosen by a random draw, stand around a shiny new pickup truck, each with one hand on the vehicle, and endure without removing their hand. The last person standing wins the truck. With minimal breaks and no sleep allowed, the contestants face a grueling challenge. As the competition wears on, a lively fair takes place around the weary participants. Joan, an employee at the car dealership, offers words of encouragement to all, including Kyle, a dedicated family man determined to win the car. However, the contest takes an unforeseen twist, adding layers of complexity and drama to the event.
