A War (2015) follows Claus M. Pedersen, a company commander played by Pilou Asbæk, and his troops as they are deployed in a volatile Afghan region. Concurrently, back in Denmark, Claus' wife Maria, portrayed by Tuva Novotny, strives to maintain normalcy for their three children who deeply miss their father. During a standard operation, the soldiers find themselves in intense crossfire. To ensure the safety of his men, Claus makes a critical decision that leads to severe repercussions, not only for him but also for his family awaiting his return.
