The Helpful(?) Sisterhood (S) (1914) follows the story of Mary, a young woman from a humble background but with a noble lineage, who receives an invitation to join an exclusive sorority club at her high school. Meanwhile, her close friend Sophie is overlooked. Mary, feeling honored, accepts the invitation and begins to distance herself from her old friends. The allure of wealth and status starts to consume her, transforming her from a kind-hearted girl into someone who is increasingly dissatisfied. The sorority plans a grand dance, and Mary, unable to afford the required fee, resorts to stealing from one of the club members to maintain her facade.
