Blake's 7 (TV Series) (1978) is set in the 23rd century, where a tyrannical galactic federation, headquartered on Earth, maintains control over its citizens through mind-altering drugs. The story follows Roj Blake, a former rebel who attempted to form a resistance against this oppressive regime but was captured and had his memories erased. Blake's fight against the federation is reignited when he witnesses a brutal massacre by the authorities, which is subsequently covered up. Escaping from a penal colony aboard a prison spaceship, Blake joins forces with a group of misfits and seizes control of an advanced alien spacecraft, which they rename "The Liberator." Together, they embark on a journey across the Milky Way, seeking any chance to disrupt and dismantle the federation's power.
