The Sweeter Side of Life (2013) follows the journey of Desiree Harper, a once-indulged Manhattan socialite whose life takes an abrupt turn when her husband abruptly leaves her for his acupuncturist. With a watertight prenuptial agreement in place, Desiree finds herself in a financial bind and is compelled to take up a position at her father's bakery in the quaint town of Flemington, NJ. As she trades in her high-end lifestyle for a life of baking cupcakes, Desiree uncovers the hidden joys of small-town life and learns that genuine love and happiness can be found in the most unexpected places.
