Nora Prentiss (1947) follows the story of Dr. Talbot, a composed and methodical physician, who crosses paths with Nora Prentiss, a talented nightclub singer, after she sustains a minor injury in a street mishap. Despite initial reservations, the two become deeply entangled in a passionate affair. Dr. Talbot is then confronted with a difficult decision: abandon Nora or end his marriage. When a patient unexpectedly passes away in his office, a seemingly convenient third option emerges, complicating his already tumultuous situation.
