The Sea Hornet (1951)

The Sea Hornet (1951) follows the story of a merchant vessel that met its end, allegedly due to a torpedo strike, just off the California Coast during World War II. Years later, when a friend is fatally injured while trying to destroy the wrecked ship under the instructions of Suntan Radford (Adele Mara) and Tony Sullivan (Jim Davis), deep-sea diver "Gunner" McNeil (Rod Cameron) begins to question the circumstances. McNeil's suspicions deepen as he learns that Suntan is the daughter of the ship's captain, who perished in the sinking, and Sullivan was a crew member. Additionally, the ship was carrying over a million dollars in cash at the time of its demise. As McNeil delves deeper into the mystery, he finds himself drawn into a romantic entanglement with Ginger Sullivan (Lorna Gray), a singer at a luxurious coastal resort hotel near the sunken vessel.
