The Mississippi Gambler (1953) follows the journey of Mark Fallon, who, alongside his partner Kansas John Polly, endeavors to bring integrity to the gambling scene on riverboats. Their initial triumph, however, sparks the ire of dishonest gamblers and Angelique Dureau, whose prized necklace Mark wins in a game.
