Mine Own Executioner (1947) follows the story of Molly Lucian, a woman who seeks the assistance of psychologist Felix Milne to help her husband Adam, who is on the brink of severe schizophrenia and refuses to see a traditional psychiatrist. Adam's trauma from a Japanese prison camp has left him in a fragile state, and Felix's efforts to aid him begin to unravel his own personal life. As Felix's home life crumbles, he struggles to maintain his professional integrity while trying to save Adam.
