Payroll (1961) follows a ruthless group of criminals who devise a scheme to pilfer the earnings of a nearby manufacturing plant. However, their meticulously crafted strategy hits a snag when the factory opts to use an armored vehicle to transport the money. Undeterred, the gang proceeds with the heist, but the situation takes a dramatic turn when the armored van's driver is fatally wounded. The driver's widow, driven by a thirst for vengeance, sets her sights on the criminals. As the police tighten their net, the gang members begin to turn against one another, leading to a chaotic and unpredictable climax.
