The Magician (1958) follows the arrival of a mysterious troupe, 'Vogler's Magnetic Health Theater,' in a small town, promising an extraordinary show. Local authorities, including the police chief and medical examiner, are intrigued by accounts of peculiar supernatural occurrences during the troupe's previous performances. They invite the group to demonstrate their act privately before granting them public performances. Skeptical and determined to debunk the troupe as frauds, the townspeople find themselves outmatched by Vogler and his team's cunning and skill.
