Old Men in New Cars (2002) follows the journey of Harald, a man tasked with fulfilling the final wish of his dying foster father, "Monk," to find his biological son, Ludvig, who is currently incarcerated in a Swedish prison. Harald enlists the help of Peter and Martin, two seasoned chefs, to secure Ludvig's release. Upon meeting, Ludvig and his father form an instant bond, but their joy is short-lived as Ludvig urgently requires a liver transplant. Determined to raise the necessary funds, Ludvig and Harald embark on a daring bank robbery, which quickly spirals out of control. Their misadventure leads them to cross paths with Mille, who introduces them to a new opportunity. Meanwhile, Peter and Martin contribute their unique skills to the chaotic mix. As the group navigates their newfound challenges, they find themselves pursued by both the police and anti-terror units, adding layers of complexity and danger to their already fraught mission.
