Sworn Enemy (1936) follows the journey of Hank Sherman, a dedicated law student who unexpectedly lands a position as a chauffeur for a prosperous businessman. As he navigates his new role, he finds himself captivated by Margaret, the boss's enchanting assistant. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when his employer and the employer's brother, Steve, who manages a boxer named Steamer Krupp, are brutally murdered. Driven by a desire for justice, Hank volunteers to help apprehend the mobsters responsible. To get closer to the mastermind, Joe Emerald, Hank takes control of Steamer's career. Steamer's rising fame attracts Emerald's attention, leading to a tense alliance. Hank and Emerald strike a deal, allowing Hank to infiltrate Emerald's criminal network. Once inside, Hank collaborates with the police to seek vengeance for the losses he has suffered.
