On an Island with You (1948) follows the story of a young naval officer who is recruited as a technical consultant for a musical film starring the renowned actress Rosalind Reynolds. The lieutenant, who had previously performed a duet with Rosalind and shared a kiss at the end of a Forces show, is convinced that she is meant to be his partner. However, Rosalind's current boyfriend and co-star in the film has a different perspective on the matter, leading to a series of comedic and romantic entanglements as the film production unfolds.
