Father and Son (1936) follows the story of a factory director who is deeply engrossed in resolving production issues, leaving his teenage son feeling isolated and alone. The boy's mother has passed away, and his father, a compassionate individual and a model communist who has been awarded the Lenin Prize, struggles to balance his professional duties with his son's emotional needs. Unable to find the time to properly guide his son or convey his feelings, a heated argument ensues, leading the young boy to impulsively run away. In a perilous decision, he joins a group of criminals, putting himself in grave danger.
