Night Light (1957) follows the journey of Maria, a spirited 16-year-old who ventures from her small-town life to the bustling city of Stockholm to stay with her aunt. Meanwhile, a renowned elderly actor takes an interest in Maria and offers her a ride to her aunt's place and a tour of Stockholm. However, Maria has her own plans and opts to explore the city via a tram ride. During her tram journey, she engages in a thought-provoking debate about morality with a prosecutor. Later, she reconnects with Peter, and the film unfolds as a vivid portrayal of a young woman's adventures in the big city, its people, and its vibrant nightlife.
