Pennies from Heaven (TV) (TV Miniseries) (1978) follows the journey of Arthur, a dedicated sheet music salesman with an uncanny ability to recognize hit tunes. Despite his talent, he struggles to gain the trust of others. Arthur's vivid imagination often transforms his daily frustrations into elaborate musical sequences. His life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Eileen, a naive schoolteacher who shares his musical sensibilities. However, their relationship is complicated when Eileen discovers Arthur's marital status and her own pregnancy. Devastated, Eileen flees, prompting Arthur to abandon his life in pursuit of her. As he seeks to protect Eileen, Arthur finds that destiny and the music that defines him have more in store.
