The Gabby Douglas Story (TV) (2014) follows the inspiring journey of Gabby Douglas, a prodigy who began her gymnastics career at just eight years old. Gabby quickly rose to prominence, securing multiple state championship titles in her age group. Despite her burgeoning success, Gabby and her family encountered financial struggles. To advance her dream of Olympic glory, Gabby made the tough decision to leave her mother Natalie, three siblings, and grandmother in Virginia Beach and relocate to Des Moines, Iowa, to train under the esteemed coach Liang Chow. Supported by her early achievements, unwavering dedication, and the love of her family, Gabby earned a spot on the 2012 U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team. She competed fiercely in the London Games, ultimately winning both Team Competition and Individual All-round gold medals. This triumph placed Gabby and her teammates, known as “The Fierce Five,” among the greatest gymnasts in history.
