One Outs (TV Series) (2008) follows the story of Hiromichi Kojima, the top hitter for the Lycaons, who travels to Okinawa to overcome a performance slump. During his stay, he encounters Toua Tokuchi, a formidable pitcher capable of throwing at speeds up to 134 km/h (83 mph). Tokuchi is renowned as the reigning champion of a high-stakes gambling variant of baseball known as "One Out." Kojima persuades Tokuchi to join the Lycaons, but their agreement is unconventional: Tokuchi earns 5,000,000 yen for each out he pitches, but incurs a loss of 50,000,000 yen for every point he concedes. The series spans 25 episodes, airing from 2008 to 2009.
