Robin Hood (2010) follows the journey of a skilled archer, initially focused on personal survival, who served in King Richard I’s army against the French. After Richard's demise, the archer returns to Nottingham, a town plagued by a tyrannical sheriff and heavy taxation. There, he encounters the independent Lady Marion, who is wary of his true identity and intentions. Eager to win Marion's affection and aid the village, he gathers a group of formidable mercenaries known for their combat prowess and zest for life. With England weakened by prolonged war, ineffective new leadership, and threats from within and without, Robin and his band embark on a quest to prevent the country from descending into civil war and restore its former glory. The film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival on May 12th, 2010.
