Vivre Sa Vie (My Life to Live) (1962) follows the journey of Nana (Anna Karina), a young and attractive Parisian woman in her early twenties who intentionally departs from her husband and their infant child, aspiring to pursue a career in acting. Struggling financially, and unable to secure acting roles, Nana turns to prostitution to make ends meet. She soon finds herself under the control of a pimp named Raoul, who manages her activities. The narrative of Nana's life is presented in 12 concise episodes, each preceded by a written summary. Director Jean-Luc Godard employs various unique techniques to engage the viewer's focus and attention.
