The Viper Brothers: 18 Extortion Threats (1972) follows the chaotic journey of two men who return to Kobe after being released from prison, causing a series of disturbances. The film, part of the "Mamushi brothers" series, is a collaborative effort between screenwriters Saji Dori and Suwoto Michio, directed by Sadao Nakajima, and photographed by Yamagishi Tagaki. The story begins with a politician and his companion, Wins, arriving in the entertainment district "Okame Yokocho," where they engage in a violent brawl with local bouncers, Iron and Tatsu. The conflict escalates as Iron and Tatsu claim to be part of the same "brothers of the vip" as the politician. The next day, Masato and Masaru, former prison mates, are tasked with harming Iron. Toei Construction, linked to the Yatoukai, aims to transform "Okame Yokocho" into an entertainment hub. The politician and Wins fall for a beautiful woman, Wisteria, leading to a temporary ceasefire. However, tensions rise again when a young man, Riki, seeks revenge against Yamazaki. The Yatoukai and Yamazaki initiate a forced demolition of "Okame Yokocho," leading to a series of violent confrontations. The politician and Wins are arrested, and Iron is killed by Yamazaki. Enraged, the politician and Wins rush to the Toei headquarters, vowing to take down the old man and his brothers.
