Golden Harvest (1933) follows the journey of Chris Martin, a driven grain dealer portrayed by Chester Morris, who manipulates the wheat market to amass a fortune. Rising above his modest farming roots, Chris seeks social acceptance by wedding Cynthia Flint, a high-society woman from Chicago, played by Genevieve Tobin. Concurrently, Chris's former sweetheart Ellen, played by Julie Haydon, ties the knot with his straightforward brother Walt, portrayed by Richard Arlen, who stays committed to their family farm. The narrative takes a turn when the brothers' differing paths and Chris's insatiable greed lead them to opposing sides.
