Pathfinder (1987) draws inspiration from a 12th-century tale, weaving together action and drama to narrate the journey of a young boy. After witnessing the brutal murder of his parents and little sister by a marauding Tsjude tribe, the boy is captured and compelled to serve as a guide for the raiders. In a remarkable display of courage and cunning, the boy outsmarts his captors, leading them to a treacherous cliff where they meet their demise.
