Criança Lobo (2022) unfolds in a chilling Portuguese village where an ancient legend persists—the tale of the wolf child. The story begins when a young peasant woman, yearning for a child, makes a desperate plea to a forest creature on a full moon night. The creature grants her wish but places a curse: the child will grow up to bring teeth and blood to the village. As the years pass, the child matures into a man, struggling with his dual nature and facing persecution from the villagers. He forms a bond with a young witch, and together, they embark on a journey to break the curse and discover their true identities. This film, directed by Frederico Serra, revisits the rich folklore and traditions of rural Portugal, 16 years after his previous work, "Coisa Ruim.
