The Best Things in the World (2010) is set in São Paulo and revolves around two brothers, 15-year-old Hermano "Mano" and his 17-year-old brother Pedro, whose lives are upended when their father, Horácio, leaves their mother, Camila, shattering their middle-class family. Mano, still a virgin, has a crush on Valéria, a classmate with a reputation, while Pedro is deeply in love with Bia, to whom he has pledged eternal love. The brothers' world is further disrupted when they discover their father is gay and is in a relationship with his new partner, Gustavo. Mano's confidante is Carol, who has feelings for their Physics teacher, Artur. The siblings navigate the complexities of their new reality while dealing with the gossip and drama at their prestigious high school, where the notorious "Blog of Dri Novaes" spreads rumors and secrets. When Carol kisses Artur in the cafeteria, the situation becomes even more tangled.
