The Twilight Zone: The Trouble with Templeton (TV) (1960) follows Booth Templeton, a celebrated stage actor who has romanticized his past, particularly his memories of his first wife, Laura. After a tense moment backstage, he steps out of the theater and mysteriously finds himself in 1927. There, he reunites with Laura and his old friend, Barney Fluegler, for a dinner that forces him to confront the reality that his past was not as idyllic as he had imagined.
