Sherlock: A Scandal in Belgravia (TV) (2012) begins with Sherlock Holmes finding himself in a peculiar standoff with the cunning criminal mastermind, Moriarty, which abruptly concludes with a mysterious phone call. Sherlock is then urgently called to Buckingham Palace to handle a delicate matter involving Irene Adler, a dominatrix who possesses compromising photographs of a royal princess. Sherlock's mission is to retrieve these photos, but he soon discovers that Irene has more than just scandalous images in her possession. Rogue CIA agents are also after the information, leading Irene to stage her own death and pass the encrypted data to Sherlock through her camera phone. As the plot thickens, Sherlock must navigate the dangerous web of secrets and deception to uncover the truth.
