Australian Rules (2002) unfolds in the isolated coastal town of Prospect Bay, South Australia, where two distinct communities, the Goonyas (whites) and the Nungas (blacks), find common ground on the football field. However, beneath the surface of their shared passion for the game, deep-seated racism and class divisions threaten to undermine any sense of unity. This tension is particularly poignant for Blacky, a white teenager who prefers the world of books over the football field, and his best friend, Dumby, the Aboriginal star of the team.
