Son of a Gun (2014) follows the journey of a young novice, JR (Brenton Thwaites), who is presented with a deal in prison: assist infamous criminal Brendan Lynch (Ewan McGregor) in his escape strategy in return for protection. Upon his release, JR becomes increasingly entangled in Brendan's illicit activities, ultimately finding himself in a perilous game of hide and seek with his mentor.
