Smuggling Hendrix (2018) follows the story of Yiannis, a man with few prospects, except for his beloved dog, Jimi, and an impending deadline to leave Cyprus permanently. When Jimi ventures into the U.N. buffer zone and enters the Turkish-occupied section of the island, Yiannis faces an unexpected challenge. Retrieving his dog proves to be more complex than simply walking back home. Yiannis assembles an eclectic group of allies from various sides of the Cyprus conflict to devise a plan to bring Jimi back, all while remaining on the land he considers his home.
