4:30 (2005) is a Singaporean film directed by Royston Tan, serving as a sequel to his earlier work "15." The narrative revolves around the bond between Xiao Wu, an 11-year-old Chinese boy, and his tenant, Jung, a Korean man in his thirties. The story is narrated solely from Xiao Wu's point of view, focusing on the unique connection between these two distinct individuals rather than a traditional friendship. The film begins with Xiao Wu sneaking into Jung's room early in the morning and stealing from him. As Jung's habit of returning home drunk becomes more frequent, Xiao Wu finds himself increasingly drawn to the act of stealing. The audience soon learns that Jung's real reason for staying in Singapore is to commit suicide. It is only after Xiao Wu witnesses Jung's failed suicide attempt that he begins to grasp his deep fascination with Jung.
