The Headless Ghost (1959) follows the adventure of three college students—a pair of American men and a Danish woman—who embark on a day excursion from London to the enigmatic Ambrose Castle. Guided by the earl, the trio learns about the castle's haunted past. Intrigued, they decide to stay after hours to investigate the supernatural legends. As night falls, the portraits in the great hall come to life, and the students find themselves entangled in a 600-year-old curse. Navigating the castle's hidden depths, they encounter various challenges, including a cat and a rat, a venomous snake, an ax-wielding suit of armor, and a group of revelers entertained by a slave's dance. The students must confront these obstacles to assist a ghost in breaking free from its eternal torment.
