Armored Trooper Votoms: Big Battle (1986)

Armored Trooper Votoms: Big Battle (1986) is set in the neutral city of A'koba, where the Baralant military organizes robot gladiator battles to evaluate combat robots before deploying them in actual wars. Chirico Cuvie, a former Red Shoulder soldier from the Melkia military, and his allies attempt to acquire jijirium from Karman Tomus, a former technological officer of the Melkia military. Chirico's mission is driven by the need to rescue his beloved, Fyana, who is a Gilgamesh PS. Meanwhile, Karman Tomus is also in pursuit of the PS Fyana. When Fyana is abducted, Chirico faces a daunting challenge: he must confront the local robot battle champion, Niva, and the Baralant military, who are aiming to develop their own PS. Niva harbors a deep-seated grudge against Red Shoulders, having been defeated by them in the fields of Orom and subsequently transformed into a PS. This personal enmity extends to Fyana, whom Niva also despises. The situation becomes even more perilous when Niva manipulates Fyana against Chirico, complicating the battle and making it imperative that Fyana remains unharmed.
