Zoltán Kárpáthy (1966) follows the epic legal battle between the grown-up Zoltán Kárpáthy and Abellino over the control of the Kárpáthies' wealth. Abellino transfers his lawsuit rights to Köcserepy, whose daughter Zoltán had saved during a catastrophic flood in Pest. Vilma, afflicted with a lung ailment, develops feelings for Zoltán, but he remains devoted to Katinka Szentirmay, his guardian's daughter. During the trial, Abellino presents a shocking claim: Zoltán's true father is Szentirmay, not Kárpáthy János. Outraged by the defamation of his late mother, Zoltán renounces his inheritance, making Köcserepy the beneficiary. The lawsuit's foundation is revealed to be based on forged documents. Rudolf, blameless in the conflict, loses his life to save Zoltán, who ultimately inherits the fortune and marries Katinka.
