Il tenente dei carabinieri (1986) follows the story of Lieutenant Duilio Cordelli, a dedicated officer who frequently clashes with his superior, Colonel Vinci. When the two are tasked with investigating a pair of suspicious murders, Cordelli uncovers a sinister plot involving a gang of thieves. The criminals are scheming to conceal a significant bank robbery in Rome by circulating a flood of counterfeit currency.
