The Royal Tailor (2014) is set in the royal court of Joseon, where the Sanguiwon department is tasked with crafting the exquisite garments worn by the royal family. At the helm of this prestigious department is Dol-Seok (Han Suk-Kyu), a master artisan renowned for his unparalleled skill and unwavering adherence to tradition. His meticulous approach to his craft is challenged by the arrival of Kong-Jin (Ko Soo), a prodigious designer with innate talent and a keen eye for innovation. Kong-Jin is brought to the palace by the nobleman Pan-Soo (Ma Dong-Seok), who recognizes his extraordinary abilities. As Dol-Seok and Kong-Jin collaborate on creating royal attire, their differing philosophies on design and tradition lead to a series of events that entangle the King (Yoo Yeon-Seok) and Queen (Park Shin-Hye) in a significant and perilous situation.
