Sheriff Teddy (1957) is set in the vibrant city of Berlin during the 1950s. The story revolves around Kalle, a spirited 13-year-old boy residing in the Wedding district of West Berlin with his family. Kalle is deeply enamored with Wild West novels, often donning a sheriff’s star on his jacket and leading the "Teddy Gang," a group of boys his age. When Kalle's family relocates to the eastern sector of the city, he struggles to adapt to his new environment. His assertive and somewhat boastful demeanor, coupled with his fascination for pulp fiction, initially alienates him from his new classmates. A notable rivalry emerges between Kalle and his fellow student, Andreas, adding layers of complexity to his new life.
