Die Mädels vom Immenhof (1955) follows the journey of three orphaned sisters, Angela, Barbara (nicknamed Dick), and Brigitte (nicknamed Dalli), who, after fleeing East Prussia in the aftermath of World War II, find a new home with their grandmother, Oma Jantzen, in the picturesque region of Schleswig-Holstein, near Eutin. The Jantzen family has been the proud owners of the historic 18th-century estate, Immenhof, for over a century, where they specialize in breeding and selling ponies. The film chronicles the sisters' experiences as they adapt to their new life, embracing the challenges and joys of rural living and the family's equestrian traditions.
