Tiberius (1960)

Tiberius (1960) follows the adventures of Cassio, a tour guide, and Primo, his bus driver, as they lead a group of tourists to explore the historic Villa Jovis on the island of Capri. Near the Salto di Tiberio, a tragic accident occurs, causing both men to lose consciousness. When they regain awareness, they find themselves in the midst of an extravagant orgy at the villa, where a troupe of British dancers, predominantly blondes, are entertaining the emperor. The duo soon realizes that the emperor's secretary is plotting to assassinate Tiberius and frame them for the crime. To evade suspicion, Cassio and Primo disguise themselves as dancers and blend in with the British troupe, led by the charismatic Cinthya O'Connor. Meanwhile, a rival group of women, led by Flavinia, attempts to disrupt the performance and assassinate the emperor. A fierce battle ensues between the two groups, resulting in Flavinia and her followers being captured. During the climactic dance performance, the secretary interrupts the show and accuses the dancers of plotting against the emperor. Cinthya reveals her true identity as the daughter of Tiberius and exposes the secretary as the real conspirator. The ordeal concludes with a grand feast, but as Cassio and Primo approach the Salto di Tiberio again, they suffer another fall and lose consciousness. They awaken at the original accident site, leading them to believe their experiences were merely a dream. However, their first encounter upon waking is with Tiberius and his daughter Cinthya, leaving the true nature of their adventure ambiguous.
