Nirvana In Fire (TV Series) (2015) is set in the tumultuous 4th century, where a fierce conflict erupts between the Northern Wei and Southern Liang dynasties. General Lin Xie of Liang, accompanied by his 19-year-old son Lin Shu, engages in a pivotal battle. Tragically, Lin Xie is betrayed by a political adversary, resulting in the unjust deaths of seventy thousand Chiyan army soldiers shortly after repelling the Wei forces. Lin Shu narrowly escapes and, with the support of Langya Hall, forms the Jiangzuo Alliance, adopting the alias Mei Changsu and becoming a prominent figure in the martial arts world. Twelve years later, under the guise of Su Zhe, he returns to Liang's capital to rectify the wrongs done to the Chiyan Army and covertly aids his friend, the overlooked Prince Xiao Jingyan, in his quest for the throne.
