Dead Sushi (2012) follows Keiko, the offspring of a renowned sushi chef, who departs from her home to evade her father's intense training in both sushi crafting and martial arts. She secures a job at a secluded inn, where she faces harassment from the staff and mockery from guests, including the president of Komatsu Pharmaceuticals and his entourage. Unbeknownst to them, a discontented Komatsu researcher, Yamada, has trailed them with a vengeance, armed with a serum that unleashes the violent tendencies of fish on rice, giving birth to...lethal sushi! Bloodthirsty tuna and squid attack the humans, resulting in numerous deaths and transforming the survivors into zombie-like beings. Keiko, alongside the inn’s former sushi chef Sawada, employs her combat skills to fight the creatures and attempt an escape with a few uninfected survivors. However, Yamada has a more fatal shock in store for them…can Keiko and Sawada triumph over both him and his airborne killers?
