Forever, Darling (1956) follows the story of Susan and Lorenzo, a couple married for over half a decade who find themselves growing distant from one another. Susan's life takes an unexpected turn when an angel, visible only to her, appears to warn her about impending challenges if they do not address their marital issues. Meanwhile, Lorenzo is engrossed in developing insecticide #383 at Finlay Vega Chemical Co. and arranges a camping excursion with Susan to test it. However, the trip turns into a series of hurdles for Lorenzo, adding further strain to their relationship.
