House of Angels: The Second Summer (1994) picks up where the first film left off, focusing on Fanny and Zak, who have transformed from a struggling couple to wealthy individuals after inheriting a grand house from Fanny's grandfather. The story unfolds in a quaint, somewhat unwelcoming village. Fanny, whose paternal lineage is unknown, eventually wins the hearts of the townsfolk, particularly two elderly men, Ivar and Axel, who step forward to claim paternity. Fast forward a year, and Fanny and Zak return from a global tour to find their beloved house reduced to ashes. Ivar, who has struck it rich with a lottery win, invites his brother Gottfrid and the couple to join him on a trip to New York, where they will meet another brother, Sven. As the quartet adapts to life in the Big Apple, the villagers back home remain intrigued by the mystery surrounding Fanny's true father.
