Sweet Ecstasy (1962) follows the story of Olivier, a charming yet immature and temperamental young student who encounters an enthusiastic actress during a theater rehearsal. Through her, he is introduced to a group of wealthy and disillusioned young individuals who indulge in reckless behavior, such as harassing strangers, hosting extravagant parties, and staying current with the latest trends. When the alluring Elke shows interest in him, Olivier abandons the actress and joins the group for a lavish party on a yacht. However, Elke's promiscuous behavior and Olivier's inexperience lead to a clash. The situation escalates when Charlie accidentally sets the yacht on fire. In retaliation, the group lures Charlie into a perilous display of daring on a construction site.
