Purgatoryo (2016) introduces us to Ilyong, a man who meets his untimely end at the hands of the police after being caught in the act of theft. This grim event marks the start of his journey into the afterlife. Ilyong's lifeless body is taken to a seedy funeral parlor managed by Violet, a cunning and greedy individual who has found a peculiar way to make a profit by leasing the corpses to Simon. Jojo, a corrupt police officer on Simon's payroll, is responsible for delivering the deceased to Violet. The funeral parlor is staffed by On-on and Dyograd, who are tasked with cleaning and preparing the bodies for their final rites. On-on, despite his striking appearance, feels disconnected from life and finds solace only in gambling. Dyograd, conversely, finds his purpose in life through sexual encounters. As Ilyong's body arrives, a series of unfortunate and chaotic events begin to unfold.
