SaiKano: The Last Love Song on This Little Planet (SaiKano Live-Action) (2006) follows the story of Shuji and Chise, two high school students who have recently begun a romantic relationship. Their world is abruptly shattered when a mysterious squadron of bombers from an unidentified nation devastates the city of Sapporo. Just as all seems lost, the bombers are mysteriously destroyed by a small, enigmatic red light traversing the sky. Shuji is stunned to discover that the force behind this unexpected salvation is none other than Chise, who unveils her true identity as a highly advanced cyborg designed for mass destruction.
